Open Reading Periods are two times a year:
January 1st until June 1st *
and August 1st until December 1st. *
*Anything received June 2nd- July 31st or December 2- December 31st will be deleted, unopened.
Guidelines:
Bird's Eye reView is looking to publish strong narrative poetry
based out of personal experiences. We believe everyone has a story to tell and a unique voice with which to tell it.
Please,
no experimental or avante-garde submissions.
Both free verse and formal verse will be considered for publication.
The review reserves the right to exclude works which include profanity, gratuitous violence or other explicit material.
(In other words, we don't publish it, so there's no point in your sending it.)
No simultaneous submissions or previously
published work.
Bird's Eye reView acquires first serial rights to all work published. The review also
reserves the right to electronically archive any content published.
All other rights revert to author upon publication.
Please do not send more than 2 submissions (of 1-5 poems each) per
author per reading period.
Please send poems in the body of the email (we don't open attachments).
Failure to follow the guidelines may result in the following:
1. Your submission may be deleted from our system.
2. You may not receive a response from us.
