Poetry:

Bird's Eye reView is looking to publish strong narrative poetry based out of personal experiences. We believe everyone has a story to tell and a unique voice with which to tell it.

Please, no experimental or avante-garde submissions.

Both free verse and formal verse will be considered for publication.

The review reserves the right to exclude works which include profanity, gratuitous violence or other explicit material. (In other words, we don't publish it.)

No simultaneous submissions or previously published work.

Bird's Eye reView acquires first serial rights to all work published. The review also reserves the right to electronically archive any content published.

All other rights revert to author upon publication.

Please do not send more than 2 submissions (of 1-5 poems each) per author per reading period.
Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in your work not being considered.

Art:

We are now accepting art submissions to be considered as "cover art" for each issue. Please send your visual art or photography as a .jpeg attachment.

Bird's Eye reView will only require one-time publication rights. (Art will not be archived.)

The schedule for art submissions will be the same as the schedule for poetry submissions.

To submit:

Submit 1-5 poems electronically to editor@birdseyepoetry.org.

Please paste the text of your submission in the body of email. Emailed attachments will be discarded, unopened.

Include a brief cover letter noting previous publication credits. Also include a brief bio, not to exceed 50 words.

Please allow up to 12 weeks for response. Email me if you have not heard from me by then.
